Subasri Krishnan is a consultant at Indian Institute for Human Settlements – India’s first prospective National Innovation University addressing the challenges of urbanisation through an integrated programme of education, research, consulting and advisory services.

Career Highlights
At IIHS, Subasri has contributed towards the conceptualisation and set-up of the media Lab of the Institution. She has strong experience in direction and scripting. She has directed several films and documentaries on a variety of topics like Internet Censorship & Surveillance in India and South East Asia, Skill Development Initiatives for Domestic Workers in Delhi, MircoFinance, Women’s work in an informal Economy, Watershed Management, Right to Information and Corruption amongst others. Her films have been commissioned by prestigious organisations like International Development Research Centre, Canada; International Labour Organization; The Centre for MicroFinance; Ratan Tata Trust; Institute of Social Studies Trust, New Delhi; United Nations International Fund for Women; Centre for Sustainable Agriculture.
