Priyadarshini Shetty is an associate at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements – India’s first prospective National Innovation University addressing the challenges of urbanisation through an integrated programme of education, research, consulting and advisory services.

Priyadarshini works under the IIHS Urbanisation Atlas project, which includes land-use land cover analysis for 400 cities and documentation. She also supports the geospatial analysis and generation of geospatial data and outputs. In addition, Priyadarshini contributes in the research projects taken up by the Geospatial Lab of IIHS and participates in the executive education and short-training courses in GIS, Remote sensing and other relevant subjects.
Prior to joining IIHS, Priyadarshini was a consultant with Gubbi Labs. She was formerly associated with the Geo-informatics Lab, CiSTUP, Indian Institute of Science as a Project Assistant. She also worked as a Technical Support Analyst at HP CCC, Electronic City, Bangalore.
Priyadarshini has been part of projects related to understanding the process and pattern of urbanisation of cities. Her involvement included primary and secondary data collection process, data analysis, interpretation of the results, documentation and final presentation.
The major projects that she has worked on are as follows:
Priyadarshini has a wide range of interests which include rifle firing at the firing range at SAI, Bangalore and playing basketball. Currently, she is learning to play the guitar.
