Prashant Dhawan is a senior consultant at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements, Bangalore – India’s first prospective National Innovation University addressing the challenges of urbanisation through an integrated programme of education, research, consulting and advisory services.

Career Highlights
During his 18 years of work experience Prashant has also been an entrepreneur/practitioner and ran a design practice for 7 years. As an entrepreneur he was involved in diverse projects ranging from documenting the Alchi Monastery in Ladak to being the Campus Architect for the expansion of Dyal Singh College in Delhi. He is one the few architects who provided design services in the walled city (Shajahanabad) and has also written on issues related to design, especially human centred design. He has worked with various corporate firms like LML VESPA, Mahindra Holidays, Total Environment Building Systems and RSP Architects before joining IIHS.

Prashant calls himself an experimentalist and amateur researcher of issues related to sustainable happiness. He is happiest when he is near greenery, water and a fair and just social environment. He loves spending time with his family.
