Himanshu Dhanda is an associate at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS) – India’s first prospective National Innovation University addressing the challenges of urbanisation through an integrated programme of education, research, consulting and advisory services.
Education:
- M.A. in Mass Communication from Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia. (2006-2008)
- BJ (MC) from Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies affiliated to G.G.I.S.P.U. (2003-2006)
- Senior Secondary from Navayug School, New Delhi. (2003)
Himanshu is a multifaceted personality, with varied experience in different media like print, radio and television. Hailing from renowned media institute AJKMCRC, Jamia, Himanshu has been part of both national and international level media projects. As part of the prestigious Common Wealth Games, he worked as an assistant broadcast venue manager for the Boxing Sports in 2010.
He has also worked with Kotwara Studios owned by famed director Muzzafar Ali, as a producer to shoot the making of the International Sufi Music Festival ‘Jahan-e-Khusrau’ 2010. He worked with Ideas Box as associate producer fiction, for ‘Raaz Pichle Janam Ka Season 1’ on NDTV Imagine. He contributed to a reality show ‘Om Shanti’ on Star Plus for Colosceum Media Pvt. Ltd. He was an assistant producer in Pulse Media Pvt. Ltd. for a series of educational programs for Network 18. In radio, he worked in AIR News division, during June- July 2008. Himanshu has interviewed various Indian music celebrities for a Hindi radio station of Singapore, Masti 96.3 FM. At IIHS, Himanshu works in the Media Lab and his work mainly comprises of video documentation.
Himanshu enjoys travelling and has a passion for adventure sports.
